The University of Szeged spoke László Rovo in the case of an associate professor. The institution’s press department wrote to ATV that

the articles and statements falsely confuse the causes of the termination of the legal relationship with the employee’s participation in public life.

The news was firmly rejected and later added:

There are rigorous and duly substantiated reasons for the employer’s actions in our institution in all cases. We do not wish to comment on the rumors in addition to this information.

As it was first written on the 24th, László Rovó was relieved of work by the rector of the university with immediate effect on Monday Satu Mare Horváth, professor of psychiatry at the university, who also served as chairman of the county ethics committee of the Hungarian Medical Chamber. This body decided to open an investigation against the rector after it was suspected that Rovo had an operation for a coronavirus.

The head of the university department and the head of the university legal department informed Szatmár Horváth that he would be relieved of his job with immediate effect. The professor was declared unsuitable on 22 points, including his bad reputation at the university. Horváth emphasized that the rector had found the public servant unfit to work, which bothered him especially as a skilled psychiatrist. He added that he had no opportunity to clarify.

Horváth worked at the university for 16 years, but now, according to him, he is forced to intervene to go abroad, he said:

I have three children that I want to raise in a free and open society.
