The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a home search on Monday at several Hungarian institutions in Transcarpathia and Towards László Brenzovics, in the apartment of the president of the Hungarian Cultural Association of Transcarpathia, the organization informed the MTI in a statement.

The Hungarian Cultural Association of Transcarpathia considers the crude intervention in which the armed commandos of the Secret Service occupied the apartment of László Brenzovics, president of the KMKSZ, the headquarters of the KMKSZ in Uzhgorod, to search for a house

The organization wrote.

The house searches, based on a decision by a court in Zaporizhia in eastern Ukraine citing a previously opened criminal case on charges of separatism, sought evidence of activities aimed at dismantling the country’s territorial unity and changing borders for the force, damaging the state. However, the KMKSZ believes that it is a planned procedure based on fabricated political accusations, the aim of which is not only to make the activities of the Hungarian organizations impossible, but also to intimidate the Hungarians of Transcarpathia and their leaders.

Therefore, the organization calls on the competent Ukrainian authorities to immediately stop the persecution of witches against the KMKSZ and other Hungarian organizations in Transcarpathia. At the same time, it draws the attention of Hungary and international organizations to the political pressure exerted against us by the state security forces.

Péter Szijjártó At Tuesday’s meeting of NATO foreign ministers, he will raise on Monday the issue of house searches in Hungarian institutions in Transcarpathia.

The Foreign Minister said in a video posted on his Facebook page that intimidation of the Hungarian and anti-Hungarian community remains a government policy in Ukraine. Regarding the house searches on Monday, the government voiced its protest at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest was questioned, he said.
