MTK Coach, Michael Boris he was satisfied with the game of his team.
“Of course, this match was very different from what we could expect three weeks ago, but the newspapers have already written all about it. We started the game well, scoring three goals before, but we still had chances. After the break, Újpest improved, but we scored the fourth goal ”.
National Sports asked what it was like to play in such a hostile mood, as they were constantly being branded unsportsmanlike from the stands for not entering the postponement despite the request of the Hungarians.
“It was very hard to play in these conditions, that’s why I behaved differently on the bench, I sat almost the whole way. The reception was strange, for example the photographer from Újpest also had some unsolicited words for us. I felt the tension both during the warm-up and in the fans. This is a difficult situation for everyone, but we decided not to postpone it because it would have been unfavorable to us at another time. We also miss a lot, we couldn’t cope with our best team ”.
Újpest is the coach of the NB III team, Mundi Viktor he controlled, it is true, only from the stands, because he could not sit on the bench either.
“In the first half, the great momentum led to the deconcentration of the defense. It is not possible to achieve such goals at this level, MTK was much better than us. During the break, we talked about fighting for a bolder game and we did it. Our physical condition did not allow a continuous attack, which led to a result against MTK, but at times we were able to do it, so the second half was acceptable.
