The Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party will not participate in drawing up a joint opposition list for the 2022 parliamentary elections, Gergő Kovács, party chairman, announced on ATV’s half-brother’s program, Spirit FM radio.
“Our position has not changed, we can join the team if everyone else comes out,” Kovács said. He stressed that all they do is start only in places where the victory of the opposition certainly does not cross, for example, in the inner districts of Budapest. The party chairman has promised statements from approximately 30 individual candidates.
Kovács also spoke about the fact that the Two-Tailed Dog Party was not officially invited to the opposition alliance, but Momentum and the LMP questioned them orally. “It doesn’t fit me morally. I cannot start in an alliance with parties about which I have that opinion, ”he said, revealing to a question that he was talking about the MSZP, the DK and the Jobbis.
He added that he was prepared for the next year and a half for sure, but that for 20 years his party would listen to the fact that Fidesz was in power for them because they did not join the opposition coalition.
