Ferencváros was knocked out by Russian team Rostov-Don 26-25 in the first round of the group stage of the Women’s Handball Champions League on Saturday in Érd.
Ferencváros led 6-5 for the first time in the 12th minute, but while the Hungarians’ defense weakened, that of the Russians improved significantly, as the guest team went to 13-9 at halftime. After that, however, the Hungarian team did not find him for almost ten minutes, taking advantage of this, the Russian champion team intervened again and decided the match, Ferencváros could only embellish the result on his hair.
A week from now, the FTC will continue its role in the BL group at the home of Norwegian Vipers Kristiansand, and defending champion Audi ETO KC from Győr will also host Podravka Koprivnica from Croatia next Saturday.
