There have been two salary increases this year: Nurses’ salaries have risen 14 percent since January 2020 and another 20 percent since November, the ministry said.

The next stop in the salary increase program will be in January 2022, when the salary of nurses will increase by another 30 percent.

Between 2016 and 2019, the government spent HUF 143 billion on increasing nurses’ salaries, and this year the government will spend HUF 82 billion.

How much did they earn now and 10 years ago?

In 2010, a nurse with 4-6 years of legal status and a secondary education with an OKJ degree earned HUF 91,400 and now, with her previous salary increases, her base salary has increased to HUF 281,018 gross. The 2010 salary of a nurse with a legal relationship of 19 to 21 years increased from 106,578 HUF in 2010 to 322,171 HUF; The salary of an OKJ nurse with a legal ratio of 40-42 increased from HUF 128,383 in 2010 to HUF 379,785.

Nurses with tertiary education earned HUF 126,270 in 2010 with a legal relationship of 4 to 6 years, and with previous salary increases they can now bring home HUF 349,214 in December, they added, adding that a nurse with a legal status of 19 to 21 years he spent HUF 149,145 in 2010. His salary has now increased to 408,004 HUF.

In the case of a nurse with a higher education degree with a legal ratio of 40-42, this amount is already HUF 490,310 instead of HUF 196,115.

According to the Ministry, the salary increase affects 83,000 nurses and 4,900 nurses, all health professionals who work in state, municipal or church-maintained ambulatory or hospital care, such as clinics, hospitals, nurses, the National Blood Service or the National Blood Service. .

Young people preparing for a nursing career are supported by a monthly nursing scholarship of HUF 40,000, and housing conditions for nurses are also improved, nursing homes are renovated and others are built throughout the country.
