The 26-year-old policeman, who was delayed in Újpest on Thursday morning, was awakened from a deep sleep. The BRFK information portal on its community page wrote that the young police officer is doing well in the circumstances and his first question was: “When can I go to work?”

The sergeant was rushed to the hospital after an aggressive 35-year-old South Church man stabbed him several times during a measure on a condo staircase on Kassai Street. The attack ended with his patrolman firing the knife, who died at the scene.

The young policeman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and, as several of his vital organs were injured, he was immediately operated on. His partner, a 23-year-old sergeant, was also taken to the hospital for observation because she was shocked by what happened.

The BRFK also reported good news about the status of the policewoman. They wrote that he was fine now, so he was released from the hospital. And although he could have returned home for Christmas hours earlier, he did not leave the health center until his partner recovered.

Meanwhile, the family that the embarrassed man tried to enter also appeared. In their letter to the Cop Supporter, they wrote that it could only have been a few minutes before the man wielding the knife did not enter their apartment.

I can’t describe how we feel that his life was almost sacrificed for us and the lady who acted! Immediately! Without thinking! We also wish him the best and I ask him… Do you know that we were our guests, we were with four small children? Do you know that you saved our lives? Do you know that as long as we live we will be grateful to both of you? Does fate give us that we can thank you once? Gratitude!

They wrote in their letter.
