The epidemic cannot be stopped, the goal remains to stop the epidemic and protect the functioning of hospitals. This is the purpose of the emergency protection measures, which have been extended by the government for another month. therefore, the current curfew and other protective measures will remain in place until January 11.

To maintain health protection, the government also extended epidemiological preparation for six months. The curfew has been lifted for Christmas Eve, the night of December 24-25, and the 10-year limit for private events and family gatherings is not included. The government has also suspended flights from Britain as of today. The evening curfew will be alive on New Years Eve.

The government is negotiating the purchase of all possible foreign vaccines, so far it has immobilized 17.5 million doses of vaccines. For the first time, the Pfizer vaccine will receive a European pharmacovigilance license, which could start vaccinations at the end of December. According to the Vaccination Plan, the vaccination of healthcare workers will begin first, with mass vaccination of the population in 2021.

The vaccination will be free and voluntary. For retirees, the post office will deliver a letter in December in which dr. The government has suspended the senior shopping time zone so that there is no tumult in stores during Christmas shopping.

The suspension will remain in effect until a decision to the contrary is made. It is still mandatory to wear the mask when making a purchase. Older people are asked to ask family members to do the shopping if they can, but if you are shopping in person, avoid crowded stores!

Protection of the elderly and chronically ill is of the utmost importance.

Older people are also asked to pay close attention to themselves and general precautions. Please note that hospitals and nursing homes are still prohibited from visiting.

In addition to health workers, social workers, police, soldiers and officials involved in defense can also use public transport for free. Free rides require a certificate from the employer stating that the person is performing tasks related to the emergency or consequences of a coronavirus pandemic.

Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until 7 pm and then open at 5 am at the earliest when the curfew expires. Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. The hotel cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. It is prohibited to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs. Sports matches must be held behind closed doors. The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.

High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda.

Keeping schools running is still important, so schools are cleaned during winter break and when necessary, soldiers perform disinfection. Elementary schools will open on January 4, and after a week of winter break in high schools, the traditional work schedule is expected to resume on January 11.

The measurement of body temperature will continue in schools and, starting in early January, teachers will be able to register voluntarily and free of charge at the rapid test points of the National Rescue Service. If the virus appears in a kindergarten or school, the Operations Staff decides if it is necessary to order an extraordinary break or digital education.

Private and family events (ex: birthdays) can be held for up to 10 people. Funerals can be held for up to 50 people. Weddings can be held without a wedding, however only certain people can attend the event.

Public parking is free. Commercial P + R, Parking Lot, Parking Lot, Enclosed Surface Parking and Non-Enclosed Surface Parking are available free of charge from 7 pm to 7 am. The facility operator is obliged to allow free parking during this time zone.

The police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines and close places where regulations are not followed. Soldiers support the work of police officers in various cities across the country and ease the burden on health workers at the hospital.

In Hungary, everyone has a hospital bed, care, a ventilator and the goal of protective measures is to keep it that way. In order to slow the spread of the community, we will continue to avoid places where there are many people indoors, preferably keep social distance, wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone with symptoms should not go into the community but stay home and notify their GP by phone.

Free flu vaccines are already being given as part of health protection. The provision of influenza vaccines to GPs is ongoing.
