The number of infected people jumped another psychological limit

There are already 27,003,973 people infected with the coronavirus epidemic worldwide, with 882,062 deaths and 18,056,984 survivors, according to the latest summary from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Experts say that the number of diagnosed cases does not accurately reflect reality because the number of tests is more or less limited in each country and the registration criteria also vary.

The disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, called Covid-19, hits the United States the hardest, with 6,275,775 infected, 188,937 dead, and 2,315,995 cured so far.

In Brazil, there are 4,137,521 infected, 126,650 dead and 3,522,155 recovered.

In India, 4,113,811 people were infected, 70,626 deaths and 3,180,865 recovered.

In Russia, the number of confirmed infections increased to 1,022,228, the number of deaths increased to 17,768, and the number of recovered to 838,680.

In South Africa, the authorities are aware of 638,517 infected, 14,889 dead and 563,891 recovered.

In Mexico, 634,023 people were infected with the coronavirus, 67,558 died and 524,669 were cured.

In Spain there were 498,989 infected, 29,418 fatalities and 150,376 recovered.

In France, 347,268 people were infected, 30,730 died and 87,927 were cured.

In the UK, the number of infected people is 349,500 and 41,640 people have died from the disease.

In Turkey, 279,806 people have been registered so far, with 6673 deaths and 251,105 recovered.

In Italy, the number of infected people was 277,634, the number of deaths was 35,541, and 210,015 recovered from Covid-19.

In Germany, 251,728 were infected, 9,330 died and 224,215 were cured.

In Canada, there were 133,890 infected people, 9,194 deaths and 118,192 recovered.

In China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), 90,058 people were registered, 4,730 deaths and 84,873 recovered.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus a pandemic, which spread from Wuhan in central China.
