Tesco has introduced more restrictions due to the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic.

After the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in the spring, Tesco introduced several changes and restrictions on online orders after the increase in traffic.

Due to the second wave, that is, the increase in the number of infections, the chain of stores announced in mid-September described the restrictions already introduced in the spring.

  • During an order, the package can weigh up to 80 kilos, if the tesco web shop notifies the customer if the customer reaches the limit.
  • Parcel couriers continue to work with the highest security standards: they wear a mask and disinfect their hands and credit card terminals, and maintain a safe distance.
  • In the spring, there was a period when it was only possible to pay for the package online in advance, this restriction has not yet come into effect. That is, couriers can pay by credit card. (Not in cash yet). The chain of stores also said it could change the rules at any time, so it could also limit payment on the courier service in the future. The company will provide information in this regard.
  • The courier will inform by telephone before the reception to discuss with the clients if they can leave their order at the door. They can also negotiate by phone if the customer does not want to take over any of the products.
  • Part of the safety precautions is that Tesco puts the products in a shopping bag so they can “deliver” the orders without contact.
