The government did another feat. Now, with its decision on Wednesday, the government withdrew nearly 300 billion guilders from the Economic Protection Fund, which was long considered empty, Portfolio.hu warned.
And why can it be said that the fund is empty? According to the portal’s summary, the amount paid out of the fund may have risen above HUF 2,379 million (over the course of seven months). “Therefore, this expenditure represents 2.5 times the original allocation of HUF 923 billion. So the fund hasn’t been hedged for a long time. “
Under the current government decision, among other things
- 35 billion HUF will go to cross-border economic development
- 16 billion HUF for tourism development
- The largest single item is HUF 80 billion, received by the Ministry of Finance to finance large-scale investment grants.
- The amount of the “support for improving competitiveness due to the coronavirus epidemic” from the Ministry of the Environment increases by 70,000 million HUF
- But almost 48 billion guilders go to foreign economic development
Another decree increases the National Export Protection Program supervised by the Export Development Agency by HUF 50 billion.
