At the age of seventy-eight, after a long illness, the former legendary goalkeeper of the Chelsea football team, Peter Bonetti, passed away.

The former doorman, nicknamed “Jack,” encountered the Blue Door between 1960 and 1979, with the introduction of a short drive from St. Louis Stars. It kept the heat from the resulting fire for more than two years.

In Chelsea’s ad, a former goalkeeper had heard who “Arguably he was one of his best players.”

Bonetti wore the English flag jersey six times and was a member of the 1966 world champion team, although he did not enter the tournament where Gordon Banks was the number one goalkeeper. As only those who were in the final at the time of the World Cup received the World Cup gold medal according to the rules of the time, Bonetti was only able to obtain the victorious victory of then British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in 2009.
