Budapest Honvéd: Tujvel – Mezghrani, Kamber (Ugrai, 88), Baráth, Lovric, Tamás K. – Bocskay (Kesztyűs, 81), Rich (Zsótér, 66), Hidi – Balogh N. (Traoré, 81), Eppel (Kocsis, 88. )
MTK Budapest: Mijatovic – Ikenne-King (Varjú, 86.), Pintér, Ferreira, Barna – Cseke, Kata (Biben, 77.), Dimitrov – Prosser, Miovski, Lencse (Gera D., 70.)
Tamás Bódog (Bishop Honvéd has been a manager ever since): – Unfortunately, we have come through a painful final match. I feel like we dominated in the first half, we could have won the match. We played well, we had great situations, but at 2-0 we could still take a break with a good advantage. After that, however, we could no longer do what we had planned, MTK gained steam, and sadly we couldn’t win the match. We tried to do what we could with the team, with more or less success. Rich Dani is a fantastic footballer who played well in the first half, but since returning from a coronavirus infection, he has been struggling with his own body, now tired for the second half. But Eppel and Norbi Balogh are also struggling with this problem.
I have not had any problem with the attitude of the players so far, but I think it is also a shame and a shame to be in last place. If I were also a fan, I would be a mother, I would scold the coach.
Sure, there are unfortunate causes, illnesses for example, but these are just excuses, from the coach’s point of view, last place at the table is crucial. (…) I was confident that the new stadium would be worth it… I have already had the experience that we have always played home games away, and then things were not like that.
I will no longer justify a place where the stadium is not ready yet … “
Michael Boris (MTK Budapest): – Of course, we learned about the decisions that were made during the week in Kispest and prepared for the meeting in the spirit of it. We knew they would start with two tall forwards, so we tried not to attack too high. We didn’t really find the antidote to the Honvéd’s five-wing system, we didn’t find the rhythm, we weren’t aggressive enough, maybe we had a situation. The Honvéd was more dangerous and sold its options. We did better in the second half, what we planned in the half worked, we found the spots and places where the opponent seemed tacky, especially in the last 15-20 minutes. Of course we wanted to win, but it is not a shame to get “only” a point away against Honvéd, we are happy that we did not run out of a point, because it was very realistic. I can be proud of the team for the game shown in the second half. Let’s not forget that the rival has quality players, they have lost a lot many times, so the table could not be a starting point.
Last season we showed several times that we are capable of getting out of a difficult situation, this year perhaps it was the game in which we were really able to show our mental strength. The latter is unquestionable even if the results are weaker for some reason, because the players always work very hard, especially when we have so many absences for various reasons.
We are visibly well physically, as the match hair showed. This point can also mean a lot to achieve our goals, so it also means, for example, that the distance between the two teams at the table has not decreased. (mtkbudapest.hu)

Fat: Hegedüs – Osváth, Szélpál, Böde, Szabó, Kulcsár (Csősz, 93.) – Bognár I. (Szakály D., 85.), Balogh, Bertus (Szendrei, 93.) – Haraszti (Nagy R., 70.), Sajbán (Ádám, 70.)
White Castle: Rockov – Bolla, Fiola, Musliu, Stopira – Funsho (Hangya, 67.), Nego, Nikolov, Houri (Géresi, 83.) – Zivzivadze (Pinto, 83.), Nikolics (Petrjak, 67.)
György Bognár (Paks): – I feel like we played well for 90 minutes. It was a good decision not to adapt to MOL Fehérvár FC, but to play the game that we have been playing so far. At no point in the game did our opponent play better than us.
If a team does well defending forward and not getting into a hedgehog, not kicking the ball back and forth, that could be anyone’s strength. I dare to recommend this philosophy to any team.
There were opportunities on both sides, but only we developed clear situations in this meeting.
All the time, I felt there was much more to Vidi, they had a great time from acquiring the ball in midfield to vigorous attack, there was danger in that too, but today our defense, midfield and offensive line were also in great mud.
What I miss is that we were able to have several good individual performances as well, but overall, of course, I am happy with the game and the result as well.
Gábor Márton (MOL Fehérvár): – It was difficult for us to start the game, we played a bit well at the beginning, but then we straightened up, we had the opportunities, although on the other side the Paks also had situations.
In the end, after one point, we unfortunately lost the match, although it should be the easiest part of football, but we get the goals from a series of points. We discuss and practice these situations regularly, but most of our downfall has been about losing matches and scoring points for scoring goals in recorded situations.
I am never happy with the draw, I also would not have agreed on a point here in Paks today, I always want to win and my team is always playing for the win, I think everyone can see that the players are going forward, unfortunately occasionally still without head. Paks took advantage of one of our big mistakes today and in the end the home team scored 3 points. Congratulations to Paks! (molfehervarfc.hu)
