Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the measures that came into force on Wednesday from zero appeared in the Hungarian Gazette.

These are as follows:

  • There is a curfew between 8:00 p.m. M. And 5:00 a. M., Everyone should be home by 8:00 PM. M. A case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, must be justified.
  • All meetings are prohibited.
  • Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. The government reduces the administrative burden of home delivery and taxi drivers can participate in the task. Factory canteens may be open.
  • Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until 7 p.m. and after curfew expires, so they can open at 5 a.m. at the earliest. Providers and services not covered by these Regulations (such as hairdressers, masseurs, personal trainers) can operate normally under the no-exit rules.
  • The hotels do not accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons.
  • It is forbidden to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs. Religious community ceremonies may be held at the discretion of the religious community. The Government invites religious communities to determine the rules of conduct in their ceremonies in accordance with the general rules.
  • Sports matches must be held behind closed doors.
  • Individual outdoor sports are allowed. According to applicable law, competitive athletes cannot be restricted in this activity.
  • The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.
  • Nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools are open until the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures determined by the principal. Secondary schools have been operating on a digital work schedule since the ninth grade. Colleges and universities operate at the discretion of the school principal.
  • Universities and colleges are moving towards a digital agenda. Universities of higher education institutions will be closed, the Rector may establish exceptions. Residence may be granted, in particular, to foreign and cross-border students and those who comply with the official obligation of home quarantine in the dormitory.
  • Private and family events (eg birthdays) can be held for up to 10 people.
  • Funerals can be held for up to 50 people.
  • Weddings can be held without a wedding, however only certain people can attend the event.
  • Employees of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, kindergartens and those who work in a social institution must undergo weekly tests, according to an independent government decree.
  • The regulations introduced so far on the use and maintenance of distance remain in force, with the obligation to wear a mask in some public areas of settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants. It is the responsibility of the mayor to designate the areas. It is not yet mandatory to wear a mask during sports activities or in parks or green areas.

Using a mask

Masking is mandatory for all persons over six years of age on public transport, in the inner zone of settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants, in public spaces designated by the municipality, or in public places, except during sports activities , in parks and green areas.

The use of a mask to cover the nose and mouth is also mandatory in shops when buying and working, in shopping centers (except offices, sports and manufacturing facilities), public transport waiting rooms, catering stores, offices of post office, customer reception areas of public administrations.

It is mandatory to wear a mask in health centers, but in hospitals, patients do not have to wear a mask. In social institutions, caregivers should wear a mask whenever possible during community programs and when staying in public spaces, and a mask is also mandatory for workers in direct contact with carers, as well as if they are at least 1.5 meters.

Curfew

Everyone is obliged to stay at their place of residence, stay or accommodation between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The exceptions are when a person is in a public place in a situation in which there is a risk of damage to health, danger of death or serious damage, as well as for the safety of life, work, transportation to the place of work and vice versa. However, all this must be confirmed by a document, which will be published by the Minister of Public Security on the official government website.

Mounting

Grouping or gathering in public areas or public places is prohibited, however, individual leisure sports activities such as running, walking, and cycling are allowed in public areas, public places, and outdoor sports fields.

Soccer, hockey, handball, basketball, and volleyball will also be prohibited for non-competitive athletes.

Events

There is no event, this includes a cultural event, a concert, a sporting event, a private event, and a Christmas market.

However, the ceremony of religious communities does not qualify as an event, it can be decided by the religious community itself.

There are no spectators at sporting events, matches must be held behind closed doors.

A maximum of 50 people can attend funerals, and only the head of the ceremony or the registrar, the married couple,
Witnesses of the spouses, parents of the spouses, grandparents, siblings of the spouses and children of the spouses may be present.

Catering stores

Only employees can stay permanently in catering stores, however, in order to dispense and transport takeaway food, others can stay inside for as long as necessary.

This rule does not apply to work restaurants and canteens, restaurants and bars located in the accommodation, restaurants and bars serving public accommodation, or the dining room and buffet of a health institution.

Education

Digital education is coming to life in higher education institutions. The rectors of higher education institutions decide the order of student visits to universities and dormitories.

Nurseries, kindergartens, and elementary schools are open through the eighth grade. Secondary schools have been operating on a digital work schedule since the ninth grade. Colleges and universities operate at the discretion of the school principal.

The body temperature of children whose body temperature exceeds that determined by the medical director will continue to be measured, separated from other children or students and informed to the parents.

Parents are still unable to enter schools.
