The International Vaccination Center (not a public but a private company, it has been in Hungary for 13 years) writes on its website that it does not sell the future vaccine, but the right to reserve, in Hungarian, the vaccine can be reserved with them .
According to Magyar Nemzet, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology has launched a consumer protection investigation due to a call on the website of a private company offering a prior reservation right for a future vaccine against the coronavirus that did not exist at the time of the pandemic. The public authority wonders if the company is engaging in unfair business practices contrary to professional diligence when collecting vaccination prescriptions against the future coronavirus.
Magyar Nemzet knows that consumer protection assesses whether there really is content that can really be done behind the service offered.
It can also be misleading if only the name “International Vaccination Center” appears in the header of the company’s website. At the end of the procedure, the site operator may be asked to emphasize in a conspicuous place that it is not operating as a public national vaccination center, but as a private company.
