The contract for the purchase of Rheinmetall Lynx combat vehicles was signed on Wednesday by Ferenc Korom, commander of the Hungarian Armed Forces, and Armin Papperger, chairman of the board of directors of the German military industry company in the Ministry of Defense.

As part of a modernization program worth more than two billion euros, the military will receive 218 Lynx KF41 combat vehicles. The vast majority of the assets, 172, will be produced in Hungary at a joint venture plant to be established under an agreement concluded between Rheinmetall and the Hungarian state on August 17. The first 46 of the order are manufactured in Germany, which also serves the full training of the Hungarian specialists of the national factory.
