The former Russian tennis player first accused an anonymous ex-boyfriend of abuse on the community side and then on Thursday told the Russian Championat portal that he was referring to Alexander Zverev. Saripova said she tried to strangle Zverev with a pillow in a New York hotel before last year’s US Open and hit her head against the wall. He stressed that he was afraid of death at the time.

The German player, who won an ATP tournament in Cologne over the past two weekends, also responded to accusations against him by his community. She stressed that Saripova and I have known each other since they were children, and she very much regrets having made such statements, which she rejects because it does not correspond to reality.

“We formed a party, but it was over a long time ago. Why Olga says that now is incomprehensible to me. I’m very confident that the two of us will find a way to reconnect in an objective and respectful way. “ Said Zverev, who also announced in his community on Thursday that he would be a father and was looking forward to the birth of his son.

He added that he would not form a couple with his future mother, Brenda Patate, but that would hardly cause problems in raising the child.
