The Cegléd District Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest of a man who abused his partner and detained them along with their common son.
The woman started working at a clinic in Cegléd from October this year, but the man did not like it and tried more and more violently to make her change jobs. On November 11, the man had already abused the woman who wanted to move in with the child in the presence of her four-year-old son.
On November 14, the man prevented the woman and child from moving by breaking the key in the lock of the property’s gate, which was surrounded by a tall fence. He then took his car key from the woman as well, threatening to stab him with a knife. He then stabbed the woman’s hand at least twice, causing a wound that healed within eight days. All of this was observed by his four-year-old son.
The family drama ended with the arrival at the scene of a group of TEK Operations Units, who managed to apprehend the perpetrator after a telephone conversation with him. The man is suspected of two counts of violation of personal liberty, the crime of endangering a minor and an attempt to commit a serious crime. The Cegléd District Prosecutor’s Office requested the author’s arrest for recidivism and risk of hindering the burden of proof. (The prosecutor’s office)
