The next 4 to 6 months could be the most difficult period for the epidemic, says Bill Gates, co-founder of the Microsoft billionaire, who is also increasingly talking about health issues.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

After a long hiatus, Bill Gates, who has been monitoring the spread of the pathogen and the pressures on health and the economy since the shutdowns, took another look at the coronavirus epidemic situation (primarily in the US).

The billionaire co-founder of Microsoft this time believed that the situation could be much worse in the United States, but he hopes that does not happen. However, he stressed that humanity had not yet escaped the worst of the pandemic,

the next 4-6 months will be a serious period of human testing, he said.

Gates cited epidemiological data from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) CNNin an interview, urging people to be careful again. The completion of vaccinations, he said, indicates an impressive investigation, but that doesn’t mean we can sit back and rest: the number of deaths could also increase in the next period, but we can prevent this by following mandatory rules. (Gates was primarily addressing the American people, but the cautionary tale is for everyone.)

According to Microsoft co-founder Gates, we can go back to our pre-pandemic life in the summer of 2021, but with one or two exceptions, we need to be sure to keep in mind. However, the risk of reinfection will persist until 2022, when the population is vaccinated, so it is more important that nation-states stick together and help other countries. Still, the aid is not far from Gates: he has helped fight coronavirus with billions since the epidemic.
