On January 22, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced that Hungary would buy enough Sputnik V vaccine from Russia to vaccinate one million people. According to the schedule there are 300,000 in the first month, 500,000 in the second month and 200,000 in the third month, but for the first month the term expires next week, so far only a fraction of the 600,000 doses have been received.

The atv.hu article draws attention to the fact that so far only 45,600 doses Sputnik V arrived, and although Peter Szijjártó announced Friday that a truck left St. Petersburg with 100,000 doses of vaccine, it is still only a quarter of the amount promised.

The portal also asked the Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the reason for the delay. On the last side, Tamás Menczer wrote in a Facebook post that the Russian side would meet the 600,000 dose amount administered in the first phase with minimal delay, and then the additional 1.4 million doses.
