In Sweden, according to the latest data on Thursday, the spread of the coronavirus epidemic has reached another peak and, as a result, residents of various districts are advised not to use public transport or community venues, ATV writes.

According to the Institute of Public Health, there are 3,254 new confirmed infections in 24 hours, the highest number since the outbreak. In a country with a population of 10.3 million, the total number of infected people is estimated at 121,000 and 5,943 people died from the disease.

The number of patients requiring intensive care in hospitals is relatively low. Approximately 15 percent of the beds for this purpose are occupied. However, some of the more densely populated areas, such as Stockholm, the capital, and several other cities in western Sweden, are advised not to visit shopping malls, museums, libraries, swimming pools and gyms until at least November 18, according to the portal.

It is also not recommended that people visit each other, but teleworking is recommended. In Sweden, despite the epidemic, kindergartens and schools were not closed, but meetings were limited to 50 people, elderly caregivers were banned and some restaurant services were suspended.
