Already last week, it became clear who would lead those who took the place of journalists who stood up due to pressure from NER:
- the newspaper Pál Szombathy will be managed by the CEO,
- he is still a member of the newspaper’s board András Sztankóczy Strategic Director and Editor-in-Chief of Response Online
- Sonia Kitzinger Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Economics, Culture and Entertainment
- Gergely Ákos Balogh Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Organizational Development, who was the founding editor-in-chief of Mandiner,
- and Zoltán Fekete-Szalóky news director, former editor-in-chief of Inforadio.
Unsure of the final size of the journalism staff, it was announced last week that “about thirty new staff members will begin editorial work, columnists, senior editors and various journalists.” This is a much smaller editorial than what it did for the newspaper before the Index blew up.
The outgoing indexers had previously promised to have a joint sequel, they would have another card, but even now they were told that “you don’t have to get much sleep” until you start.
