István Vályi-Nagy expressed his satisfaction that the 125-year-old Szent László Hospital, originally built as an infectious hospital, which was a “front line” institution in the coronavirus epidemic, where those infected were treated, began to receive vaccines in Hungary. He also sees confidence in vaccination from his colleagues.

Half of the vaccines that arrived at South Pest Central Hospital on Saturday will be placed in a refrigerator at minus 80 degrees Celsius until they are revaccinated. Information sheets and statements of consent must be completed prior to vaccination. The vaccination is followed by a 15 to 30 minute observation.

The general director said that in the first round, the employees of the intensive care units of the Central South Pest Hospital and the surrounding hospitals will be vaccinated, then the employees of the emergency departments, after which the vaccination will continue with the employees of the general departments.

István Vályi-Nagy stated that the vaccine is safe and 95% protection is obtained after administration. Therefore, he urges everyone, including his colleagues and the general public, to get vaccinated.
