The public port of Csopak was sold for HUF 889.87 million in the electronic auction announced by Hungarian National Asset Management (MNV), which closed Wednesday night, writes MTI. József Kollár The CEO of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. He said that after the closing of the tender in the closed system of MNV Zrt., It will be possible to find out who will be the winner, which will begin early next week.

Ambrus Tibor, The mayor of Fidesz de Csopak on Thursday called the final amount of the offer unrealistic and incomprehensibly high for MTI. The offer was accompanied by unexpected interest, which is also demonstrated by the fact that all three bidders constantly compromised at the last minute, he added.

The reorganization plan of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. (BAHART), which became state-owned by the Hungarian Tourism Agency last year, included the sale of four public ports. Following local protests, the shipping company offered interested municipalities to lease the ports to them for the long term instead of selling them. Three of them accepted the offer, but an agreement with Csopak could not be reached, so the property was announced at auction.

Tibor Ambrus said

the area of 2.8 thousand square meters consists of a dock that cannot be closed to public traffic and a public park of just 2,000 square meters with a coastline of about 50 meters. The buildability in this area is 2 percent, which is also covered by the port cash register building and the water block, according to the local building code, the maximum allowed installation height is 4.5 meters. According to him, the 10-12 berth marina that belongs to the property can be expanded to a maximum of 20-30 berths.

He recalled that, during the negotiations with BAHART, the four interested municipalities offered to buy their port for sale at the highest price set by the appraisers, which also served as the basis for the starting price, but did not have the opportunity to do so. .

Tibor Ambrus complained that although the port would have been leased for a long time to the Csopak municipality with the obligation to maintain the public port, without the marina, the terms of the announced tender no longer include the operation of the public port, only the non-lockability of the spring.

József Kollár told MTI: Prior to the port announcement, no official written statement or offer had been received from Csopak regarding the purchase intention.

In September, the mayor of Csopak asked the locals in his juice to help save the boardwalk area:
