Retirees are calling on the Hungarian government to create the conditions for those over 65 to have a significant discount on immune-boosting products and electronic contact devices, the National Association of the Retired Parliament reported.
According to the announcement, on Thursday, pension organizations held an online meeting in accordance with the requirements of the emergency measures triggered by the coronavirus epidemic and decided to adopt a joint communication.
In accordance with this, the pensioners ask the Hungarian government to create the conditions for those over 65 to receive a significant discount, as soon as possible:
- increase the resilience of the elderly to immune booster products marketed by pharmacies;
- for the protection of themselves and their environment, the means and means of defense;
- resolve close social relationships, use electronic means of communication.
In addition, on the occasion of the upcoming holidays, the Cabinet is requested to pay special attention to improving the operating conditions of municipal and voluntary non-governmental organizations that provide care for the elderly, family support and social support.
The government has reintroduced the shopping time zone for over 65s as of Tuesday, but this was different from the spring. At that time, people over 65 and younger were really separated, because between 9 and 12 o’clock only retirees could be allowed into shops. Now those over 65 are not restricted, since they can buy in supermarkets, pharmacies and drugstores at any time. For others, however, the time interval is 9-11am. M. From Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. M. On weekends.
