Attila Kovács, the founding owner and managing partner of the DVM group and Horizon Development, will pass away at age 51, the company said Thursday.

Kovács founded the DVM group, a group of internationally recognized companies providing architecture and construction services, in 1995, and then in 2006 his premium real estate development company, the award-winning Horizon Development. From 2017 to 2019, he was Vice President of the Real Estate Developers Roundtable Association (IFK).

Its name is associated with the renovation of the Eiffel Palace in Budapest (formerly Pesti Hírlap and Légrády Nyomda), Váci 1 (formerly Tőzsdepalota), the Servita Square Building, the Promenade Gardens and the Eiffel Square, as well as the co-owners of St. Andrea Vineyard and Winery, Eif On the ground floor of the Palace is the St. Andrea restaurant and on the top floor of the Váci 1 building is the St. Andrea Wine & Skybar.

In recognition of his work, he received the Public Award for the Real Estate Player of the Year in 2011 and 2018, the CIJ Leadership Award in 2016, and the City of the Future Award in 2018 from Downtown-Lipótváros.

His honors will be able to give a final farewell to Attila Kovács on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, between 9 am and 6 pm in the center of Budapest, at the entrance of the building at 8 Szervita tér, while observing epidemiological caution.
