Radical adjustment: schools are closed, mandatory use of masks is coming to Bucharest

In Bucharest, the coronavirus epidemic will make it mandatory to wear a protective mask in public places, that is, everywhere outside the apartment, from Tuesday, kindergartens, schools and universities will be closed and the school year will continue online, type MTI.

This was decided by the metropolitan epidemiological operation at its meeting on Monday after the number of infected diagnosed in Bucharest in the last two weeks exceeded 3 per thousand of the population for the second day in a row.

The operating court also ordered the closure of the interior of cinemas, theaters, concert halls, galleries and restaurants in the Romanian capital. Gardens can be kept open and hotel restaurants can serve guests indoors.

In Romania, 1,259 schools have been suspended so far to attend classes, 946 of them because they operate in settlements where the infection rate has exceeded three per thousand of the population, and the other 313 because the infection has appeared in al minus three classes.
