A 41-year-old man pulled his drowning dog down the street with a leash made from a chain when the postman saw him and intervened, the prosecution said in a statement.
On the morning of August 11, a man living in the town of Apc placed a leash made of metal chain around his dog’s neck on a street chain and then began persistently dragging the animal down the street for about 500 meters. . The chain tightened around his neck from the ebb, he choked, couldn’t breathe, but the man kept pulling after him, hitting the young cattle that slid onto his belly with the end of the leash.
The cruel act ended with the intervention of the postman who was passing by.
As a result of the abuse and dragging, the dog suffered abrasions to its nose, abdomen and thighs, as well as wolf claws ripped from its hind legs. The animal was still in a semi-conscious and shocked state in the early afternoon. The dog could even have died if the postman’s intervention had not saved his life in time.
The Hatvan District Attorney’s Office has charged the 41-year-old man with animal torture. For the crime of animal torture, the Penal Code allows prison sentences of up to three years.
