With a penalty scored by Jamie Vardy, Leicester City defeated Wolverhampton at home in the eighth round of the English Premier League 1-0, taking the lead in the standings.

Leicester City also received two penalties in the first half, due to the handling of Max Kilman and the lack of Rayan Ait-Nouri, the first Jamie Vardy he sold confidently, but in the second he changed sides and was blocked by Rui Patrício. The Portuguese goalkeeper defended three of the last six Premier League penalties.

In the first half, Vardy’s two penalties were two shots.

There were no more hits after the break, beating Leicester City for the third time in a row and taking the lead in the table – Liverpool could have overtaken it but did not win in Manchester as City’s guest (1-1).

Leicester scored 18 points in their first eight league games, the best start to the season at the English top.
