On Saturday afternoon, Our Country organized a demonstration at the corner of Bródy Sándor and Szentkirályi streets in Budapest to protest against the A fairy tale for everyone against the headquarters of the Labrisz Lesbian Association, which published the book. In the volume, the characters in the stories draw attention to the situation of minorities in Hungarian society, such as the gay Cinderella, the Roma Pöttöm Panna, but the problems of deep poverty, domestic violence and adoption also appear.

Dora Dúró, the politician from Our Country called the volume of gay propaganda and publicly, with his own hands, ground one of its copies. However, the action was reversed, as the book topped one of the charts and all copies were hijacked. Budapest Pride organizers also prepared for Saturday’s demonstration: during speeches, the music used in the Pride parades was heard from one of the windows, and according to Mérce’s report, the site of the demonstration was marked with rainbow symbols on Saturday morning.
