The first dose of the vaccine will arrive in Hungary in three days, and we reviewed, finalized and approved the vaccination plan once again at the last operational trunk meeting before Christmas, he said. Viktor Orban in his video posted on Facebook, adding that “we are in the last phase of the battle.”

The first vaccines are given to doctors, nurses and people who work in the intensive care unit for the life of the patients.

The date of the mass vaccination is not yet known, and which vaccine depends on the authorization procedures carried out by the EU and the authorization procedures of the Hungarian authorities, the Prime Minister said. Vaccines are also being discussed with everyone, including Western, Eastern, American, European, Russian, Chinese, and Israeli vaccines.

Mass vaccination will be voluntary and free, and everyone who wants to be vaccinated will be required to register.

He also said that they also plan to issue a digital vaccination passport to those who have already contracted the infection or have been vaccinated and are protected. The Ministry of the Interior has developed the first version of this, which was already presented at the meeting of the operational staff.

Let’s take care of each other also during the holidays: Viktor Orbán asks everyone to do that, if we work together, we can reduce the spread of the virus as we did once.

Every life counts, the prime minister concluded.
