Anderson can already claim that he is a two-time world champion, winning in 2015 and 2016, while his Welsh opponent reached the final for the first time.
Price has shown in recent years that he can do his best in tough situations, as he has shown in previous rounds. However, their player in top form this year was not known for his composure: In the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts final, he had just knocked Gary Anderson off the swing several times, who then signaled with his voice and hand that his opponent he had crossed a line.

The balance of the current finalists against each other also shows that we can expect a close match to the extreme. They have met 15 times so far, eight of which have been won by Scottish excellence, but Price has proven to be better in his last two matches.
Price, by the way, became the fourth player to reach £ 1 million in the PDC world rankings. Last November Wright was third, previously the (still) world leader, Michael van Gerwen was second, and of course dart legend Phil Taylor was first, exactly ten years ago.
