According to the announcement of the listed company, it “made an offer for the 100% package of shares in E.On Tiszántúli Áramhálózati Zrt. The company signed an agreement with E.On on December 23, 2020, which establishes, inter alia, that E.On is committed to providing professional customer support for a period of six months after the closing of the transaction in order to ensure business continuity.

By the way, the news was leaked two weeks ago:

Attila Zsolt Dzsubák, CEO of Opus Global, said in relation to the offering: “TITÁSZ will be a valuable element of Opus’ portfolio of assets, which, by providing predictable and stable income, will contribute significantly to the profit-generating capacity of our group”. The announcement also reminds that the strategic objective of the company is to become a key player in the national energy market in the long term.

The company also emphasized that it “sees the eastern region of Hungary as a potential for growth, and the group’s other local interests also provide additional synergies for the company.”

The deadline for signing detailed transaction agreements is March 31, 2021. “Opus will already be responsible for the benefits and obligations derived from the transaction as of January 1, 2021. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021,” the company explained.

Opus announced in its quarterly flash report at the end of November that the energy portfolio is in the process of transformation, negotiating to build this segment in accordance with the strategy announced by the company (the division is now empty after the sale of the plant deficient energy Mátra).
