According to the Mol survey, the use of winter tires is part of the national traffic culture, and nine out of ten drivers pay attention to this and one does not.

Nine out of ten Hungarian motorists prepare their vehicles for winter, according to their own statements, although they think in many ways about what can be called preparation, according to an online survey of Hungarian drivers commissioned by Mol.
Those preparing for winter traffic pay more attention to antifreeze.

The use of appropriate tires for the season is part of the national traffic culture, and nine out of ten drivers pay attention to this.

Six out of 10 people said that preparation also included having de-icing devices in the car, and four out of 10 drivers said checking the battery was also a priority. Half of the respondents said that they do the winter preparation themselves, the other half do it with someone else. Due to winter, only one in five motorists go to a service center.

The use of premium fuels is considered part of winter care for 1,700 cars.

However, the research also revealed that nearly one in five respondents see even the basics as extra care.

5 percent of respondents in Mol’s survey use a car under 1 year old, 21 percent use a car from 2 to 6 years old, 12 percent use a car from 7 to 9 years old, and 62 percent use a car older than 9 years.
