The Hungarian Football Association informed Diósgyőr in an official letter on Thursday evening that, according to the original announcement, the DVTK – Újpest match that starts at 8 pm on Friday will not take place at the announced time (and no later) . The Miskolc club reported on the MLSZ newsletter on its official website. With this, it can be considered official, what we already knew with a 99 percent certainty: Újpest will not travel to Diósgyőr on Friday.

The association also sent the decision of the Competition Commission shortly after, according to which the meeting will not be replaced later. All three points will be credited to DVTK with a 3-0 goal difference.
As reported, the metropolitan unit asked the DVTK for a postponement because most of its players could not be deployed due to the coronavirus epidemic. Diósgyőr crazies, like MTK, didn’t go into the postponement, citing the busy competition schedule (too).
On the ninth day of NB I, Újpest lost 4-0 to MTK in the starting team with several young players.
According to the purple and white announcement, only two of the 25-man adult team had a recent negative test, and several of the under-19 players even tested positive.
Újpest people wrote that they understood DVTK’s decision and hoped that no other club would be in a similar situation.

Meanwhile, Honvéd also indicated that they had requested a postponement of their championship on Saturday against Budafok due to the virus situation. NB I rookie promised an answer by Friday.
