How does a parent feel?

Recently, twenty years ago, on November 30, 2000, the boss of Attila Dragóner decided on the last Újpest – Ferencváros stand of the century (0–1). The former Fradi fan favorite was able to look at his former team with strange sensations on Saturday afternoon, as his eldest son, Dragóner Filip (younger brother Áron, an FTC U19 player), joined the team. Zalaegerszeg’s starting lineup. To be sure, the former defender is still a Fradist today, but as a father he was mainly squeezed by his son, who, perhaps to surprise, expelled national team forward Norbert Könyves from the Egerszeg people’s starting team.

At the same time, it was hardly caused by ZTE’s line of attack that Ferencváros’ defenders made some pretty hair-raising mistakes. They are, and as much as we didn’t see all of them in the fall or maybe in a calendar year. Miha Blazic’s short home run, which has been ruining a lot for weeks, led the game, it was a hair that the visiting team did not immediately go ahead. Then, after Marcel Heister’s bad pass, Babati Benjámin got into shooting position: from the outside, the heavy load that had been going on for months, the Champions League qualifiers and group round matches seemed to exert a lot of pressure on the players, who seemed mentally tired. In the first half, ZTE appeared to pose a more serious challenge than expected for the Hungarian champion. Gábor Boér sent three inside defenders and five midfielders to the field, Patrik Vass and Bence Gergényi played a key role, they had to run back towards the defensive line immediately after losing the ball to close the areas of the Ferencváros attackers. At the same time, there was no mention of ZTE’s arrival in the capital to defend himself, because he had already attacked his opponent in his own sixteen, and it certainly seemed that the people of Ferencváros did not like him very much. Many inaccuracies, bad passes characterized the game of greens and whites, it was not surprising that Serhiy Rebrov stumbled nervously in front of the bench. Apparently after Tuesday’s BL game in Kiev, no one could expect their players to be in top condition, but that’s what they used to say, there is plenty of room for quality, laid-back players to play on the field even then. In this spirit, Gergő Lovrencsics, Ihor Haratin, Myrto Uzuni or Alexander Zubkov only started on the bench.

According to the first half, ZTE was closer to taking the lead, Patrick Demjén’s goal was hardly in danger, the FTC really did not know what to do with Egerszeg’s organized and tightly closed defense.

The game continued at a good pace after the break and of course we were curious to know what the coaches were trying to change. Well, the FTC tried to speed up their game, and while goal-sensitive Norbert Könyves could play on ZTE’s side, the host also improved with a double substitution, with Alexander Zubkov and Roko Baturina joining. The replacement of the replaced Franciscans seemed justified, as both Isael and Franck Boli acted sparingly.

Somalia and soon after newcomer Roko Baturina could have scored, but Demjén was able to save in both halves, but that already indicated that Ferencváros was much more active on the pitch during this period. At this point, the ZTE was mostly focused on defending, the players couldn’t hold the ball and it was not surprising that Aissa laidouni took the lead for Ferencváros.

The goal caught the guests, and not two minutes passed, the game was already decided: Roko Baturina he was left alone and this was also exploited by the Croatian attacker. Of course, there was no mention of Ferencváros beating Zalaegerszeg in two minutes, but in the second half the home team did a lot for the success. 20
