Clifford Robinson, a former classic for the Portland Trail Blazers in the North American Basketball Championship (NBA), has died at the age of fifty-three.
Robinson was selected by the club in the second round of the 1989 draft, in which he played in his first eight seasons. He reached the grand finale with the team in 1990 and 1992, but was defeated first against the Detroit Pistons and then against the Chicago Buls. Robinson was voted the sixth best man in the league in the 1992-1993 season and was also included in the national All Star team the following season.
He spent 19 years in the NBA, following his career in Portland with the Phoenix Suns (1997-2001), Detroit Pistons (2001-2003), Golden State Warriors (200-2005) and New Jersey Nets (2005-2007). .
During his career, he entered the field in 1,380 games, with 19,591 points, 6,306 rebounds, 3,094 assists, 1,402 balls and 1,390 blocks.
With his varsity Connecticut team he became a national champion in 1988 and was also selected for the final series dream team, his old school later retiring his jersey number 00.
