Indeed, on Sunday we went to the Mainz labor court to order the club: Ádám Szalai to return to training for the first team with immediate effect ”- Bild quotes lawyer Markus Schütz.

According to the German newspaper, the court also announced the first day of hearing for October 8. The club has the opportunity to fulfill Szalai’s request until 5 pm

If the case is finally brought to court, Mainz will have to substantiate its decision by directing the Hungarian footballer to U23 from the first frame with arguments that can also be interpreted from the point of view of labor law.

As is well known, the German club insists that Szalai was kicked out of the first frame for professional reasons, but Bild also suspected on Monday that financial considerations lurked in the background, quite accurately, that the financial situation of the corona virus epidemic it had stalled. The club no longer wants to pay Szalai’s salary, which, according to Bild, is around two million euros a year.

We reported that Mainz, which was going through difficult days financially and professionally, fired head coach Achim Beierlorzer on Monday.
