Liverpool: At 36, your former player suffered a heart attack

Mark González, former footballer for Liverpool and the Chilean national team, suffered a heart attack at age 36 and is currently in hospital, his former footballer Maura Rivera reported on social media.

According to the account of Mark González’s wife on Instagram, the former footballer had a heart attack a few days ago, after which he was immediately transferred to the hospital.

González has been in a life-threatening condition for a long time, but Maura Rivera says she has been a little better since then. Furthermore, nothing is yet known about his condition.

Among his former teams, Real Betis and Liverpool of Spain have already sent a message to the footballer and hope that the 56-time Chilean national team player will recover as soon as possible.

Between 2006 and 2007, González played 36 games for Liverpool and, in addition to the “Reds”, he also turned to Betis, Real Sociedad and Colo Coló in his home country. The midfielder announced his retirement in 2019.
