Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than many expected, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Csaba Böjte, who is hospitalized in Budapest, is better. The Franciscan monk went live to his community on Sunday night and addressed the children in the care of the San Francisco de Deva Foundation, which he had established.

Thank God I’m better, I hope you’re okay too “

He began his message, then asked for Christ’s intercession so that the children could endure the difficulties of quarantine, confinement, and online education. He finally said a prayer and blessed his viewers, from whom he apologized for doing all this in their pajamas.

Csaba Böjte announced last Monday that he was infected with the coronavirus, and in the second half of the week he confirmed that he had been transferred to a hospital in Budapest.

Getting closer

The Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte built the first orphanage of an abandoned monastery in Deva in 1992, and today he operates about fifty orphanages in Transylvania. However, residents with living difficulties also have a great need for spiritual nourishment. Brother Csaba, therefore, connects. He told me this and that when our photojournalist accompanied him at work.
