While most sectors have plunged deep into the coronavirus epidemic, e-commerce is booming. Növekedés.hu observed how the rotation of the largest and best-known Hungarian players and home delivery changed during the coronavirus epidemic.

At Spar, there was double-digit growth in this area compared to the previous normal period: 80 percent of online orders were delivered to your doorstep and 20 percent were in-store receipt. To meet the growing demands, Tesco has launched its fastest recruiting campaign.

Currently, 240 new employees are helping to serve customers seamlessly using Tesco Online Shopping. Among them is our first assistant birth colleague, who used to be a beautician and tattoo artist. But well-known national DJs, ballet dancers, and opera singers have joined our team.

Tesco wrote to the newspaper. To expand their capacity enough, they have partnered with a company called Ice Cube. This ice making and distribution company helps with home delivery with 26 cars and 28 drivers.

In Auchan, the increase in demand for home delivery is being addressed, among other things, by the fact that they can be ordered three pre-assembled packages of the most wanted items. Therefore, they can shorten delivery time to just two business days across the country.
