Sentenced to 120 years in prison in the United States for sexual exploitation and other crimes Keith Raniere, the head of an organization called NXIVM. The verdict practically means that the 60-year-old will remain in prison for the rest of his life.
In 1998, Keith Raniere established his organization, which now operates in several countries, based on surface self-help workshops. NXIVM (Nexium) is officially a pyramid scheme-like company in New York City that distributes self-help courses and lifestyle tips for good money and is available worldwide with tens of thousands of satisfied applicants. However, the organization is actually a cult that has handed over dozens of women to its leader who have exploited them sexually and materially.
In court before the verdict, 15 women testified about what they had experienced during their years in the cult.
The Hollywood actors were also members of NXIVM. The best known is the actress from the series Smallville, Allison mack, who was arrested two years ago on suspicion of attracting many women to the organization and then participating in their education as sex slaves.
