In the spring, many merchants hatched against the shopping time zone, then between 9 and 12 o’clock, only people over 65 could stay in stores, pharmacies, many merchants reported a significant drop in turnover because opening hours when their customers were critical was relatively busy. part of it was excluded. But many customers also complained, their daily routine was overwhelmed and it was more difficult to solve purchases in such conditions.
However, you may want to be prepared for the restriction to re-apply nationwide. If only because many countries in Western and Central Europe have reintroduced a shopping time zone for seniors in recent weeks to slow down the rapid spread of the epidemic a bit. The virus is raging in Hungary, but the Hungarian government has essentially imposed unprecedented moderate measures in Europe, only very light restrictions.
It is also possible to make the shopping time zone of the elderly attractive to those affected, less ramified against them.
In Slovakia, a month ago a time zone was introduced for the elderly, from 9 am to 11 am.
In Poland, however, an incentive has also been added. There, since mid-October, only people over 60 can shop in department stores and convenience stores between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. There, in the largest department store chain, Biedronka, it was introduced almost from Immediately, in some cases, seniors in this time zone are given up to a 30 percent discount for products that were in demand anyway, writes azenpenzem.hu. Lidl immediately did the same. They offer a minimum discount of 30 percent on different products every other day.
