Index – Tech-Science – Huawei has introduced a cheap phone, an expensive tablet and new laptops

[ad_1]

In February, Huawei presented its two new laptops in a video message in lieu of the Mobile World Congress, which was lost due to the epidemic. After the Mate X Pro, the Mate D is now coming to Hungary, and the MatePad Pro Tablet also made its debut, which will also be available for purchase with an entry-level partner. The company said its sales have increased since April despite the epidemic and that its results are improving.

The fact that Huawei is opening up to other phones in addition to high-end phones is due in part to U.S. trade sanctions (which the U.S. has now extended until May 2021) and is part of a plan called Strategy 1 + 8 + N. This shows that the company does not necessarily think about devices, but about an ecosystem:

  • 1 represents the control panel element, usually the smartphone,
  • around which 8 additional product categories are linked,
  • and add any number of devices.

In other words, the phone communicates with portable smart devices, tablets, car systems, smart speakers, or even PCs. The dream ecosystem is expandable, which means that not only Huawei products but also partners, i.e. third parties, can enter.

As expected, Honor follows the same strategy, and even the weather is similar, you can buy the MagicBook 15 laptop from May 20, which we’ve already covered in more detail here, and which can be a stimulating alternative if anyone has the cheapest Ryzen 5 processor. PC with Huawei, although unlike Huawei devices, it is not available with a Hungarian keyboard.

Both companies said their wearable devices work particularly well in the Hungarian market, including smart watches, bracelets, or wireless headsets, so the question now is what the PC market is about to enter a player that makes it easier to interoperability. provided between devices in case the user also has a Huawei or Honor device.

Two new entry-level devices

According to their surveys, a fifth of Hungarians are searching for phones for less than 150 euros, that is, around 50,000 forints. Two new devices are coming in this segment.

The Y6P has a triple rear camera, which includes a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor in addition to the 2-megapixel sensor with depth sensor. Equipped with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery, and if this device has as good power management as Huawei phones in general, that may suffice for good reason. The device will cost 61,990 forints.

The Y5P will be available for HUF 41,990, with a front and rear camera, less storage space and a smaller battery.

Later this summer, the P40 Pro Plus will be the big brother to the P40 family unveiled amid the epidemic, and the P30 will be available in a new color, so rumors about the device have proven true, and by Of course it comes with Google services.

New Tablets

Significant growth is seen on tablets and PCs, with more than 300 percent growth outside of China for tablets only, so growth in these two categories is expected in 2020.

It comes with a cheaper but quite low cost and a much more powerful but quite expensive tablet.

The MatePad T 8-inch screen is the cheapest version, it will only be available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions. 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory is really enough for what is needed most, which means it may be best for kids, or for those who mostly just surf the internet and rarely think about watching movies on a tablet. The wifi version will cost 49,190, the LTE-capable model will cost 54,090 forints.

The MatePad Pro will finally arrive without 5G, and Google won’t either, but it did get the Kirin 990 chip, which is currently Huawei’s best. Also, almost the entire front panel is occupied by the display, with a rare 90 percent screen-to-device ratio on tablets. It is thin, light and has a very good display. As an accessory, you can buy the M-Pen, which works on a very similar principle to the Samsung pen, and you can also buy the smart magnetic keyboard separately. The price in the LTE version is 246,990 HUF, and as revealed in the case of the Samusng tablet, how fast can you get the benefits of the pen, so you can safely add the price to the whole experience. The device would compete with Samsung S6 tablets, which are noticeably cheaper than the iPad Pro and Matepad Pro.

All the new phones and tablets we just introduced will be available without Google services.

New Laptops

The new generation of Matebook 13 arrives, which includes a new generation Intel i7 or i5 chip, of which the i7 version has a touch screen and the Matebok D, which will appear on the Hungarian market with AMD Ryzen 5 and 7 chips. The biggest advantage of both machines is that they are light, thin and show that the design was important, and also that the Matebook 13 is the one that most wants to compete with the Macbook. Only the Matebook X Pro version is more expensive with its price of 600 thousand forints. All laptops can be bought with Windows 10 pre-installed and a Hungarian keyboard, the price of the most expensive model with an i7 chip will cost almost half a million, while the 5, i.e. cheaper, version of the Matebook D Ryzen will be available for 250,990 HUF. The prices are exactly the following:

Version Price
MateBook 13 i7 16 + 512G (touch panel) 481 HUF. 990
MateBook 13 i5 8 + 512G 353. 990 guilder
MateBook D 15 “ R7 8 + 512G 281,990 HUF
MateBook D 15 “ R5 8 + 256G 250. 990 guilder

HMS has been further developed

New names are added to Huawei’s own app store every day, most recently Wolt and Tidal have become new gamers, and the P40 family allows users to use the Tidal master package for half a year for free to listen to music. .

Among the applications developed in Hungary, more and more are being localized in Hungarian, but they are not being developed in Hungary. The main question remains how flexible are users. According to Huawei’s comments, people are open to meet HMS. Obviously, this does not necessarily mean that they will change, but to make it work smoothly, they are trying to provide help on all existing platforms. The same is true for developers, who also receive all possible support from Huawei to make more and more applications available on the device for Hungarian users, as it is obviously the easiest to make the switch if it comes with the least amount of cancellations.
