On Saturday two cases of coronavirus were registered in the football club Juventus FC, so the Italian league against Naples, scheduled for Sunday, will surely be left behind.

A statement from a Turin club with Ferencváros in the Champions League group states that the infected people are not players or members of the professional or medical staff. However, the entire framework is quarantined, and its members can only participate in training sessions and matches with a negative test result, so-called contact outside the group is not allowed for them.

Napoli has previously announced that two of its players, Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas, as well as a co-worker, have been infected and are unlikely to travel to the venue for Sunday’s match due to a ban by local health authorities.

According to another short announcement from Juventus FC on Saturday night, their team is ready to take the field on Sunday night.

The coronavirus protocol in Serie A is the same as the relevant rules of the European Federation, so if a team has at least 13 deployable players, including at least one goalkeeper, the match must be played. Juventus apparently have no intention of accepting the postponement and would like the Neapolitans to play on the field as well, otherwise the Turinians will get 3 points for the victory with a 3-0 goal difference.

In Naples, they refer to the Serie A rule that the provisions of the local authority can exempt them from the obligation to play the match, and the Naples health authority prohibits the team from traveling outside the Campania region.
