The Mainz footballers of the German Bundesliga were re-trained on Thursday, who missed training on Wednesday to show solidarity with Adam Szalai, with whom they were recently told that they would not expect him in the future.

Sporting director Rouven Schröder said three days ago that Szalai is not in his professional plans and is “unlikely to get the playing time this season that he expects.” He added that a change of club could be the solution for the attacker of the selection.

It has been suggested that there may be economic reasons behind the departure, but the sporting director has refuted this.

Sporting director Rouven Schröder called the situation “uncomfortable” in his press conference on Thursday and confirmed that the point guard did not train in the case of the Hungarian forward, but still claims that there are only professional sports reasons for sending Szalai.

Admitted from the frame, Ádám Szalai appeared on the practice track Wednesday morning and performed individual duties with guard fitness trainer Axel Busenkell, National Sports reported. At the same time, he indicated that he would not stop working for a moment. The Bild then learned that the club’s players had gone on strike and expressed their solidarity with Ádám Szalai.

On Thursday morning, sports director Rouven Schröder invited the players’ council to a meeting. They seem to be successful because they are in the field today.

Szalai, 32, returned last summer to his old association, Mainz, in which, however, he did not become a grassroots man. Head coach Achim Beierlorzer didn’t even frame him for the first round of the new Bundesliga season last week.
