Romain Grosjean lost control of the Haas at the exit of the triple bend, crashed into a wall and his car literally broke in two and caught fire. The French driver miraculously survived the accident and even left his burning car on its own two feet.

The halo saved his life
The Bahrain Grand Prix was suspended with a red flag, the drivers entered the pit lane after the accident. The halo was introduced to Formula 1 in 2019 after a detached wheel collided with the head of an Indycar driver. The spiciness of the thing is that Grojean objected to the introduction of halo.
