Gábor Rakonczay’s team announced on Facebook that the extreme athlete had decided not to continue paddling on a SUP board in the Atlantic after six days and would return to the mainland by rescue helicopter.
The Index was informed that Rakonczay was not hampered by a technical error, but had to be rescued due to severe weather. The extreme athlete was completely frozen, so it is clear that his life was in danger.
Fortunately he is well, his health has not been affected, he is currently resting in Tenerife. Rakonczay had to leave everything behind, leaving his entire team in the ocean, whose fate is still in doubt. Soon he himself will report what happened to him.
