THE BEGINNINGS
Born in Veszprém, Görbe started playing handball in Győr at age ten, played an adult role at 17 and, with Anita Pigniczki’s certification at Dunaújváros, became ETO’s number one manager.
He burst into public consciousness at the 2001 home-hosted youth world championships when he gained recognition for his “fired girlfriend” with his energetic play and virtuous solutions. He also managed to win another bronze medal at the World Championship (2005): he had four places in the dream team (2003, 2005, 2007, 2013), he was able to climb to the third stage of the podium twice in the European Championship. (2004, 2012), so here unfortunately he did not join in the end. He waited in vain for the medal at the Olympics, finishing fifth in 2004 and fourth in 2008 with the national team.
THE GYŐR CYLINDER START AT HOME
What was left behind in the selection came with interest in Győr! The year 2005 brought him a breakthrough, he became the Hungarian champion for the first time after two silver and four bronzes; he won the cup for the first time after three finals, and although the EHF Cup final was still unsuccessful, the coach was also voted the best player of the year, almost shocking that it was his only such recognition.
The first success, instead, brought the breakthrough home, he became the champion 13 times between 2005 and 2019, and the winner of the Hungarian Cup 14 times with the Győr team, who became the monarch, and was chosen as the player. of the year six times 2014, 2017), and in 2008 she became the NB’s first goalscoring queen.
On the international stage, however, he still had a long way to go to succeed.

By then, there were two lost BL finals and four more semi-final farewells alongside the team name, it seemed this trophy just didn’t want to join – the 2011-2012 competition turned out to be particularly painful as it was closed. as the queen of the goal (133 hits, second Bojana Popovics reached 106), while Poducorica Podgorica beat the Győr girls by several goals (29-27 at home, 25-27 away).

The following season, he was unable to help his team, which was decimated by numerous injuries, as he faced maternal pleasures. Görbicz first connected his life with András Présing, back in 2006, but this marriage ended in divorce 17 months later.
