Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will speak soon Kossuth Rádió Good morning Hungary! in your program. In the usual interview, starting at 07:30 hours, the Prime Minister reports on the most important events of the week, such as the purchase of vaccines, epidemiological restrictions and the situation in Ukraine-Hungary; presumably, the prime minister will also present daily data on the coronavirus.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Hungarian government introduced strict restrictions last November, which have been in effect ever since. These prescribe, among other things:
- curfew between 8 a.m. and 5 a.m.
- the regulation of the use of a mask (local governments have had the opportunity to regulate whether the obligation to wear a mask is required in their public areas),
- the prohibition of groupings and public gatherings,
- prohibition to open and stay in certain shops, restaurants, accommodation and leisure facilities.
So far, relatively few people have been vaccinated compared to the total population of the country. Viktor Orbán said in an interview with Kossuth radio last week that in the current situation, relaxation is out of the question. Cecília Müller pointed out the same in a press conference of the operating court on Wednesday.
In an interview a week ago, the prime minister noted that this morning’s session of operational staff also discussed whether graduates and their teachers could be vaccinated so they could go back to school and prepare for exams there. He also said that the government is also working to have some kind of card that says that those who have already been vaccinated or infected will have more freedom.
